Lenny Eliason, County Commissioner
 
Lenny Eliason has been an Athens County Commissioner since August 1998.  He serves on the Board of Directors for CCAO and CORSA(County Risk Sharing Authority). Currently, he is serving as the 2nd Vice President for CCAO. Eliason is also on the CCAO Personnel and Labor Relations Subcommittee and the Legislative
 
Presently, Eliason serves on the Buckeye Hills Hocking Valley Regional Development Executive Committee and Tri County Community Action Board.  He is a past board member of the Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Services Board (SEOEMS). He serves as Treasurer of the Athens County Democratic Party and the York Township Democrat Club.
 
Eliason earned a Masterís of Public Administration Degree from Ohio University in June of 2002. He is trained as a Public Sector Dispute Resolution mediator and also serves as a Mediator for the Athens Area Mediation Service.
 
In 2003, Eliason was appointed to serve on the PERRAC (Public Employees Risk Reduction Advisory Committee by Lt. Governor Jeanette Bradley.
 
Eliason is married to Lisa Eliason and resides in the City of Athens. Their daughter, Megan is a teacher at Linden McKinley High School. Son Sam is a student at Ohio University majoring in electrical engineering.
